Introduction

Welcome to FormGlam. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and use our services, and tell you about your privacy rights.

Information We Collect

We collect and process the following information:

  • Google Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Form Data: Google Form URLs you import, customization preferences, and form configurations you create.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use our service, including pages visited and features used.
  • Local Storage: Form customizations and preferences are stored locally in your browser.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our service
  • Authenticate your identity through Google Sign-In (using OAuth)
  • Access and parse your Google Forms structure (read-only access)
  • Display form responses in your dashboard (read-only access)
  • Create and manage Google Forms through our interface
  • Store and display your customized forms
  • Improve and optimize our service
  • Communicate with you about service updates

All access to your Google Forms data is done through Google's OAuth API with your explicit consent. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

Data Storage and Security

Your form customizations and preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not store your Google Form data on our servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.

Google OAuth and API Access

FormGlam uses Google OAuth to authenticate users and access Google Forms data. When you sign in with Google, you will see an OAuth consent screen that requests the following permissions:

1. Basic Profile Information

Scopes: .../auth/userinfo.email and .../auth/userinfo.profile

We use your email address and profile information (name, profile picture) to:

  • Identify you and personalize your dashboard
  • Associate your forms with your account
  • Display your profile information in the application

2. Google Forms Read Access

Scope: .../auth/forms.body.readonly

This read-only access allows us to:

  • Access the structure of your Google Forms (questions, types, options)
  • Parse form data to enable customization features
  • Support both public and private forms
  • Detect form settings like required fields and validation rules

Note: This is read-only access. We cannot modify your forms with this permission.

3. Form Responses Access

Scope: .../auth/forms.responses.readonly

This read-only access allows us to:

  • Display form responses in your dashboard
  • Enable you to view submissions without leaving FormGlam
  • Analyze response data within the application

Note: This is read-only access. We cannot modify or delete your responses.

4. Google Forms Management

Scope: .../auth/forms

This access allows us to:

  • Create new Google Forms through the FormGlam interface
  • Update existing forms programmatically
  • Manage form metadata (titles, descriptions, questions)
  • List and organize your forms

OAuth Consent Screen: When you first sign in with Google, you will see a consent screen showing all the permissions FormGlam is requesting. This screen is provided by Google and shows exactly what data and access we are requesting. You can review and approve or deny these permissions. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

FormGlam does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data to third parties.

We only share or disclose data in the following limited cases:

1. Service Providers (Infrastructure Only)

We use trusted vendors to run our app:

  • Vercel – website hosting
  • Render – backend hosting

These providers may process limited technical data (like IP addresses or request logs) strictly to operate our service. They do not receive or use your Google Forms content or personal Google data for their own purposes.

2. Google APIs

All access to your Google data happens directly between you and Google through OAuth. We only receive the data you explicitly approve through Google's consent screen.

3. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request.

Important: We do not share your Google Forms content, responses, or Google account data with advertisers, marketers, data brokers, or analytics companies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate FormGlam:

  • Google Sign-In – authentication
  • Google Forms API – access and manage your forms
  • Vercel – frontend hosting
  • Render – backend hosting

These services only receive the minimum data needed to provide their functionality and are not allowed to use your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Sign out and clear your local data at any time

Cookies and Tracking

We use browser localStorage to store your preferences and form customizations. We do not use traditional cookies for tracking. Google Sign-In may set its own cookies as part of the authentication process.
